SIAMs Inspection Report, 2024
Welcome to Seal Church of England Primary School. As Interim Heads of School, we are delighted to welcome you to our warm, nurturing and ambitious community.
At Seal, we are proud to be a values‑led school, where Community sits at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children thrive when they feel a strong sense of belonging, and we work closely with families, staff and the wider community to ensure that every child is known, valued and supported.
Our Christian values underpin all that we do. They shape our decisions, guide our culture and help us create an environment where every child can flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
A unique part of life at Seal is our school community farm, a vibrant and much‑loved learning space enjoyed by children from Nursery through to Year 6. Here, pupils gain hands‑on experience caring for a variety of animals including pigs, chickens, goats and even bees. This rare educational opportunity enables children to develop responsibility, empathy, curiosity and a deep connection to the natural world. Our farm brings learning to life, linking directly with our curriculum and enriching children’s understanding through real‑world experiences they will remember for years to come.
Central to our approach is ‘A Curriculum to Inspire’—a rich and engaging curriculum designed to ignite curiosity and deepen understanding. Through meaningful, carefully sequenced experiences that bring key knowledge to the forefront, children are encouraged to explore, question and apply their learning with purpose. Each unit of study leads to a purposeful outcome, enabling pupils to use and apply their learning in ways that are relevant, authentic and empowering.
Our aim is simple: to provide all children with strong foundations that will support them throughout their time at Seal and beyond, preparing them for the next steps in their educational journey with confidence, independence and joy.
We warmly invite you to explore our website to discover more about what makes Seal such a special place to learn, grow and flourish.
