Stepping Out Together: A Scenic Walk with Colleagues
Back
Most of us regularly walk with friends and family, but how often do you get the chance to take a 60-minute walk with your work colleagues?
This week, 15 of us from Seal Primary, led by the enthusiastic Joolz, our EYFS Lead, set off on a picturesque after-school adventure to Kemsing village and back. The circular route, approximately 3 miles, took us up to Seal Church, across the field, over the railway line, and towards the charming village of Kemsing. Our pit stop was The Bell Pub!
Due to our busy school days, we rarely have the opportunity to spend quality time with our peers outside of work. So, when our fantastic wellbeing department suggested forming walking groups, we jumped at the opportunity to set one up!
One of the wonderful things about working in this area of Kent is the stunning views of the North Downs. Today's view was extra dramatic due to a storm that drenched us just 10 minutes into the walk! Nevertheless the walk was easygoing and allowed us to connect with our colleagues and get to know each other better. What a great thing to do on a Wednesday afternoon!
Now, let's get planning for our next walk!
