Celebrating the impact of our Parent Teacher Association at Seal Primary

The PTA!
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a crucial role in any primary school, and at Seal, we are delighted to have such a great team of parents supporting us.
Much of their work often goes on behind the scenes, as typically our school community only get to see the fundraising events they organise at the school. However, the PTA's contributions extend far beyond these events, involving infrastructure improvements, grant writing, and serving as a valuable resource hub for parents.
School Laptops and Ipads
In the past couple of years, the PTA has focused on a fundraising campaign to purchase new laptops and iPads for our school. We were thrilled to receive £23,400 from the PTA to purchase these items, which are now being used throughout the school This impressive amount was raised through events such as the school fireworks display, Frost Fayre (Christmas Fair), the circus that visited in September 2024 and the termly disco. This week two members of our PTA popped in to see the impact the new equipment is having on our children.
Additionally, through the Bake for Books cake sale, we received £1000 for Key Stage 1 books!
A huge thank you to everyone from the PTA, both current and past volunteers, for your ongoing support in making a difference at Seal Primary school. We also extend our thanks to our children, parents/caregivers, and to the local community for their support of our PTA.
Our next fundraising event will be Wreath Making on Friday 28th November and our Frost Fayre on Saturday 6th December - details on how to book can be found in our newsletter.
